Anesthesia for Upper Eyelid Surgery
CPS uses only board certified anesthesiologists to make sure you have the best anesthesia possible. Before your surgery, the anesthesiologist will discuss with you what type of anesthesia is best for you. He/she will take into consideration your medical history, the procedure, and your personal wishes.
Eyelid surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or under local anesthesia, with or without sedation. If several procedures are being done at once, then general anesthesia is the better option. This will be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Cruise and the anesthesia team.
