Possible Complications of Scar Revision
The most common complication after scar revision is inadequate scar improvement. This is minimized by making sure the patient understands what can and cannot be done. Other complications are those that are possible with any operation. These include infection and wound healing problems, unfavorable scarring, fluid or blood collection, numbness, asymmetry, and contour irregularities.
